CENTRAL AMERICAN JR. CHAMPIONSHIPS 2011- TRACK AND FIELD

Novian Michael Middleton-Gold Medal (Belize) in 800 meters; Silver Medal Mario GUERRERO (Nicaragua) and Bronze Medal Allan CORDERO GUTIERREZ (Costa Rica)
A few nods and hardy pats on the back are in order for some of our Belizean youths. They brought home 12 medals for Belize in Track and Field: Central American Jr. Championships 2011 ; Two Golds, Four Silver, and Five Bronze.

First of all, a large congratulations to Novian Middleton. Novian started only three years ago and left Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Fl with six records for his school, a first for DPHS.
Where he's going is hard to tell, but he is young, on the move, and has got it goin’ on. He's what you might call, the new sprinter on the block!! Best of luck Novie; we'll keep an open eye on yah!!

The other two winners in this picture are silver medalist Mario Guerrerro (Nicaragua), and bronze medalist Allan Cordero Gutierrez (Costa Rica).

Hoping to get the names and pictures of the other Belizean athletes tomorrow.

Three cheers for our sporting youth. In 1984 AMANDALA warned the business community to spend a TINY PORTION of their profits in a massive, countrywide effort at sports, or they would find themselves spending millions in guards and guard companies. Today, how many security companies are in Belize? How large are they? How many $Millions are they collecting? It is NOT too late - the business community can still rescue our NEW YOUTH and point them away from the criminal armageddon that is now the plague of our shocked society.
